Preparing Mower-Conditioner for Storage

Put mower-conditioner in dry place.
2.
Clean mower-conditioner thoroughly inside and out. Trash and dirt will draw moisture and cause rust.
3.
Remove chain and wash in solvent. Dry chain and coat with a heavy oil.
4.
Thoroughly lubricate machine according to the Lubrication and Maintenance section.
5.
Raise platform to full height and engage cylinder locks. Lower platform on cylinder locks.
6.
Remove tension from belts and slip clutch.
7.
Apply paint on all worn parts.
8.
Put blocking under the wheel supports, taking load off tires. DO NOT DEFLATE TIRES. If exposed, put covers over tires to protect them from light, grease, and oil.
9.
List replacement parts needed and order them early.
