Removing Mower-Conditioner from Storage
1.
Review operator's manual.
2.
Wipe excess oil from drive chain and lubricate. (See Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
3.
Check and fill knife drive case and main drive gear case. (See Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
4.
Lubricate complete machine. This forces any collected moisture out of bearings. (See Lubrication and Maintenance section.)
5.
Tension belts. (See Adjusting Reel Drive Belt and Adjusting Cutterbar Drive Belt in Service section.)
6.
Slip the clutch. (See Slipping the Slip Clutch in Service section.)
7.
Check for worn or dull cutting components.
8.
Check air pressure in tires.
9.
Tighten all loose bolts, nuts, and set screws.
10.
If any major moving parts have been replaced, check for proper operation.
