Positioning the Tongue for Field Operation
IMPORTANT:
If equipped with single CV powerline, do not engage tractor PTO with mower-conditioner in transport position. Damage to drive components will occur.
Fully extend hydraulic cylinder or pull-rope tongue positioner to center tractor over the previously cut windrow.
Retract hydraulic cylinder slightly or use the second hole on pull-rope positioner to position tractor wheels closer to standing crop.
IMPORTANT:
If equipped with single CV powerline, operating machine with cylinder retracted more than halfway will damage driveline.
NOTE:
If equipped with double CV powerline, tongue positioner can be run in any position.
Machines with hydraulic tongue positioner can be steered slightly by extending or retracting hydraulic cylinder up to half stroke.
