Wheel Spindle Positions 11L-14 Tires-Regular or MEGATOOTH Pickup (466/566)
Normal position
(A) is recommended for most baling conditions.

Recommended with push bar.

Pickup teeth will touch the ground when pickup is completely lowered depending on tractor drawbar height.
Lowered baler position
(B) is recommended for short, dry, slick or brittle crop conditions. (See BALING SHORT, DRY, SLICK CROPS in Operating the Baler section.)

Not recommended with push bar. Lock out push bar if equipped. (See LOCKING OUT BALE PUSH BAR in Operating the Baler section.)

Pickup feeding capacity may be reduced especially in normal crop conditions.

Pickup transport clearance will be reduced.

Pickup gauge wheels (if equipped) will not provide a minimum of 25 mm (1 in.) of tooth to ground clearance. Use mechanical crank to control pickup height. (See ADJUSTING GAUGE WHEELS in Operating the Baler section.)

Adjust pickup float springs to provide more force (float). (See ADJUSTING PICKUP FLOAT SPRINGS in Service-Baler section.)
Raised baler position
(C) is recommended for cornstalks, straw crops with tall stubble, or soft ground conditions. (See BALING CORNSTALKS in Operating the Baler section.)

If pickup will not lower or bounces excessively, adjust pickup float springs to provide less force (float). (See ADJUSTING PICKUP FLOAT SPRINGS in Service-Baler section.)
