Adjusting Lower Feed Roll Scraper

causym CAUTION: To avoid injury or death caused by unexpected lowering of the gate, engage gate lock before working on, around, or under gate in raised position.

1. Open gate to convenient height and lock with gate lock valve.

2. Move tractor selector valve to raise belt tension arm to highest position. Shut off tractor.

3. Loosen nuts (A).

NOTE: If equipped with high-moisture kit or baling in silage, it may be necessary to set scraper clearance to approximately 6 mm (0.236 in.). This helps prevent crop from "hair pinning" on the scraper.

4. Set scraper (A) to within specifications to clear gate roll (B).

Specification

Scraper-to-Gate Roll (466 and 566) -Clearance 1-2 mm (0.039-0.079 in.)
Scraper-to-Gate Roll (466S) -Clearance 2-4 mm (0.079-0.157 in.)

5. Retighten nuts.

6. Roll must not contact scraper when rotated.
