Checking and Adjusting Lower Net Wrap Guide
IMPORTANT:
Incorrect belt tracking can cause belt wear and damage to net wrap unit.
Check for a 2-4 mm (0.079-0.157 in.) gap between the lower front belt guide straps and crossbar. If there is too much gap, belts will not track correctly and cause damage to belts.
1.
Check gate latch stop adjustment. (See ADJUSTING GATE LATCH STOP in Service-Baler section.)
2.
Make sure left and right sides of rear crossbar are in center of slot (A).

The left position should not require further adjustment.

The right position may be adjusted after adjusting belt tracking.

3.
If belts are not centered at the lower belt guide (A), make the following adjustment.

If belts track to the right, lower RIGHT-HAND of lower rear gate roll (B).

If belts track to the left raise RIGHT-HAND end of lower rear gate roll (B).
NOTE:
Light contact with belt guides is acceptable.

4.
Check that belts are not pinched between lower belt guide straps (A) and crossbar (B). Belts must be positioned between the guide straps.
NOTE:
Use a 5/32 in. drill bit as a gauge to check clearance between guides, straps, and crossbar.
5.
Check and adjust clearance between ends of all belt guide straps and bottom crossbar. Clearance must meet specifications. If clearance cannot be obtained:

If side end play exists at (C) with bolts loose, add washers between gate mounting plate and step at end of crossbar.

Bend crossbar (B) if needed.
6.
Tighten cap screws and nuts.

IMPORTANT:
When adjustment is complete, the pan should be contacting at least two belts.
If not touching belts, adjust crossbar to a higher position moving pan closer to the belts.
Adjust both ends of crossbar as needed.
7.
If lower rear gate roll is adjusted at the bottom of slot (A), adjust right side of crossbar to lowest position (B), as shown.

If lower rear gate roll is adjusted at the top of slot (A), adjust right side of crossbar to highest position (B), as shown.

9.
If lower rear gate roll is adjusted to a position (A) between top and bottom of the slot, adjust right side of crossbar to corresponding position (B) between top and bottom of slot.
