Operating Net Wrap Control
IMPORTANT:
Net wrap cycle should only be started after stopping forward travel and baling. If cycle is started while baling, net wrap material will be wrapped between crop layers.
Adjusting Number of Wrap Layers
Turn adjustment knob (A) as follows:
-
Clockwise to increase number of net wraps (4:00 o'clock position is slow cycle, maximum number of wraps)
-
Counterclockwise to decrease number of net wraps (7:00 o'clock position is fast cycle, least number of wraps)
Start with knob adjusted halfway (12:00 o'clock position), then wrap a test bale to see if further adjustment is needed. Halfway adjustment should equal 1.5 to 2 net wraps.
Activating Automatic Wrap Cycle
NOTE:
Keep engine speed constant while wrapping. Varying engine speed will affect number of net wraps applied to the bale.
Momentarily press WRAP switch (B). IN CYCLE indicator (C) will light and stay on until actuator returns to home position (extended actuator).
When preset number of wrap layers have been applied, NET CUTOFF indicator (D) will show the following:
-
Momentary flash; Net wrap is cut off and actuator returned to home position.
-
No flash; Net wrap did not feed or that roll is empty.
-
Steady light; Net wrap did feed, but was not cut off.
If either of the last two conditions occurred, disengage PTO, shut off tractor and investigate the problem. After problem is located and fixed, repeat the Automatic Wrap Cycle procedures.
