IMPORTANT:
The clearance between the magnetic pickup (A) and the inner face (C) of the disc brake rotor (B) is 3 mm (0.078 in) +/- 1 mm (0.039 in.).
NOTE:
A cut-a-way rotor was used for photo purposes only.
During adjustment, the magnetic pickup will pull itself toward the inner face of the disc brake rotor.
3.
With a feeler gauge, check clearance between magnetic pickup (A) and the inner face (C) of the disc brake rotor (B).
4.
If an adjustment is necessary:
-
To move magnetic pickup closer to the inner face of the rotor, loosen jam nut (D) and slowly turn jam nut (E) counterclockwise until desired clearance is reached. Tighten jam nut (D).
-
To move magnetic pickup away from the inner face of the rotor, loosen jam nut (D) and slowly turn jam nut (E) clockwise until desired clearance is reached. Tighten jam nut (D).
5.
Check clearance with a feeler gauge and adjust if needed.
