Daily Prestarting Checks
1.
Before starting the engine check the engine oil level. Do not operate engine when oil level is below the low mark on dipstick (A).
2.
Check the coolant level. It must be visible in the sight glass (B) on the overflow tank and between the cold and hot mark.

3.
Be sure windrower has plenty of fuel. Do not allow a diesel engine to run out of fuel.

4.
Check air precleaner flapper valve (A) for debris. Clean if necessary.

NOTE:
Check hydraulic oil level with windrower on level ground and the platform on the ground.
5.
Check the hydraulic oil level at sight glass (A). Oil level should be between the low and high mark.

6.
Perform bulb check to insure all warning lights and audible alarm is functioning. (See CHECKING WARNING LIGHTS in the Operating the Engine section.)

7.
Move field/road switch out of road position.

Move engine speed switch to low speed position.

9.
Disengage platform forward drive switch.
10.
Place hydrostatic lever in neutral position.
11.
Make sure steering wheel is locked in centered position.
