Bleeding Fuel Lines to Injectors

If the engine still will not start after bleeding the filter and injection pump, it may be necessary to bleed the fuel lines to the injection nozzles.

1. Turn key to "ON" position momentarily and set throttle to mid to full speed. Turn key "OFF".

IMPORTANT: To avoid damage to the fuel lines, always use a backup wrench when loosening or tightening fuel lines at injector pump and/or injection nozzles.

2. Using two open-end wrenches, loosen the high pressure lines at the injection nozzle.

3. Crank engine over with starting motor, but do not start engine, until fuel free from bubbles flows out of loosened connection. Tighten connection to specification.

4. Repeat procedure for remaining injection nozzles, if necessary, until all air has been removed from the fuel system.

5. If engine will not start, see your John Deere dealer.
