Removing and Installing Air Filters

NOTE: Clean only primary filter and/or precleaner screen when engine air filter restriction warning light in the cab comes on. (See WARNING DISPLAY PANEL in the Operator's Station section.)

Primary and secondary air filters are located in the air filter housing (A).

Air flow restriction sensor (D) is located behind air filter housing.

1. Remove two thumb screws (B) and cover (C).

2. Pull primary air filter out of air filter housing.

3. Clean and inspect primary air filter. (See CLEAN AND INSPECT PRIMARY AIR FILTER in this section.)

4. Remove any debris from inside housing.

IMPORTANT: When removing or installing secondary air filter, do not damage the seal.

NOTE: Secondary air filter pulls out of the housing.

5. Remove secondary air filter (A).

6. Inspect secondary air filter. If filter is dirty or seal is damaged, replace the filter.

7. Install air filters in reverse order as removed.
