Filling Radiator
CAUTION:
Avoid being scalded when radiator cap is removed. First turn cap slightly to the stop. This lets steam and hot coolant out the vent.
IMPORTANT:
In case of excessive coolant loss, never pour cold water into a hot engine, as it might crack cylinder block or head.
Never operate, even for a few minutes, engine without coolant.
Never fill radiator when engine is overheated, unless engine is idling slowly. Pour coolant in slowly.
Never use high silicate automotive coolant.
NOTE:
Do not add coolant to system through the recovery tank.
