Adding Ballast to the Windrower-5.5 M (18 FT) Platform Only

CAUTION: Failure to properly ballast the windrower could cause loss of control.

IMPORTANT: The 4.3 m (14 ft) and 4.9 m (16 ft) platforms do not require additional ballast be added to the windrower. The windrower is shipped with fifteen 9 kg (20 lb) weights, the required ballast for the 4.3 (14 ft) and 4.9 (16 ft) platforms.

NOTE: The ballast weights (B) are located on the left and right-hand sides of the auger platform shipping stand.

1. Remove shipping wires (A) and nine 9 kg (20 lb) weights (B) and (C) from the right-hand and left-hand ends of auger platform shipping stand.

2. Cut wires (A) and remove box of components.

3. Remove components and soft hardware into like groups.

4. Open latch (A) to rear screen door and open door.

IMPORTANT: Protect oil cooler fins (B) from any damage.

5. Remove three cap screws (A) and cover (C).

6. Remove and discard two cap screws and nuts (D).

7. Position the nine additional 9 kg (20 lb) weights on top of existing weights.

8. Use two 1/2 x 13 in. cap screws and 1/2 in. flange nuts, provided in the box of components, to secure weights into position.

9. Install cover and close screen door.
