Supplemental Coolant Additives

IMPORTANT: Do not add supplemental coolant additives when the cooling system is drained and refilled with John Deere ANTIFREEZE/SUMMER COOLANT or John Deere COOL-GARD ™ .

If other coolants are used, consult the coolant supplier and follow the manufacturers recommendation for use of supplemental coolant additives.

The use of non-recommended supplemental coolant additives may result in additive drop-out and gelation of the coolant.

Add the manufacturers recommended concentration of supplemental coolant additive. DO NOT add more than the recommended amount.

IMPORTANT: Do not over-inhibit antifreeze solutions, as this can cause silicate dropout. A gel-type deposit is created which retards heat transfer and coolant flow causing the engine to overheat.

The concentration of coolant additives is gradually depleted during engine operation. For all recommended coolants, replenish additives between drain intervals by adding a supplemental coolant additive every 12 months.

John Deere COOLANT CONDITIONER is recommended as a supplemental coolant additive in John Deere engines.

COOL-GARD is a trademark of Deere & Company.
