Final Drive Oil

John Deere SAE 85W-140 API-GL5 Gear Lubricant is recommended. If other oils are used, they must meet requirements of:

  • API Service Classification GL-5
  • Military Specification MIL-L-2105B
  • Military Specification MIL-L-2105C

Depending on the expected prevailing temperature for the fill period, use oil of viscosity as shown in the chart.
