IMPORTANT:
Do not drain cooling system to protect against freezing. The heater does not drain completely, so damage would result.
Do not use a high silicate automotive coolant.
If after testing, if it is determined that there is insufficient antifreeze to protect the system against freezing, do the following:

Use a coolant specified in the DIESEL ENGINE COOLANT in the Fuel, Coolant, and Lubricants section.

After adding antifreeze, turn heater on and run engine until it reaches operating temperature. This mixes the solution and circulates it through the system.

Test coolant mixture to determine level of protection.
