Change Oil in Front-Wheel Drive Final Drives

1. Tractor should be positioned on level ground to assure correct oil levels when refilling.

2. Turn wheel until drain plug (C) is at the bottom. Remove drain plug and drain oil into a suitable container.

3. Turn the wheel until “OIL LEVEL” mark (B) is horizontal.

4. Refill with John Deere HY-GARD™, see Section “Fuel, Lubricants and Coolant”. Oil should be level with plug bore.

5. Reinstall drain plug (C) and tighten to 60 N˙m (44 lb-ft).

   Repeat steps for other side.

   IMPORTANT: Recheck oil level after 30 minutes. Add oil as needed.
