Check tire inflation pressure, see section Lubrication and Periodic
Service.

Unseal all openings sealed when storing tractor.

Install battery.

IMPORTANT: If, on tractors with cab, the air conditioning system
compressor has seized, do not run the engine with compressor clutch
engaged. Drive belt or compressor damage could be the result.
On tractors with cab: Check that compressor pulley moves freely
and is not seized.

Adjust tension of alternator/fan belt and on tractors with cab,
compressor drive belt.

Release clutch pedal.

Check levels of engine oil, transmission-hydraulic oil, and
engine coolant, add if necessary.

Drain a small amount of fuel from fuel tank to purge any moisture
condensation that has collected.

Fill fuel tank.

Perform all appropriate 10-hour, 250-hour and 500-hour services
as instructed in section Lubrication and Periodic Service.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate starting motor more than 20 seconds
at a time. Wait at least 2 minutes for starting motor to cool before
trying again.

Pull hand throttle (F) all the way back, and crank engine
until oil pressure rises.

Connect wiring lead to fuel injection pump shut-off solenoid.

Start engine. Operate engine at slow idle for several minutes.
Warm up carefully and check all systems before placing tractor under
load.
