With 24/12 transmission

If the oil is cold, hydraulic functions including steering may be slow.

NOTE: Cold oil will not flow easily through the filter screen or hydraulic system filter (A).

Once the oil is warmed up, the hydraulic system (including the steering system) will operate normally again.

  1. IMPORTANT: To prevent damage to the hydraulic pump or relief valve, warm-up time MUST NOT be less than 2 to 3 minutes.

    Start engine and run it at about 1000 rpm.

  2. Turn and hold steering wheel in full left or right position.

On Power Reverser transmission only. If the oil filter is clogged while oil is at normal operating temperature, transmission oil filter indicator light (B) will glow.
