Ground Drive PTO (Mechanical Version)

A - PTO Switch

B - PTO Mode Selector Lever

D - PTO Egagement Lever

CAUTION: Pay attention to the direction in which the PTO stub shaft rotates. The PTO stub shaft changes the direction in which it rotates depending on whether the tractor is travelling forward or reversing. The ground speed PTO remains engaged until lever (B) is moved backward. The ground drive PTO remains active if it is already engaged when the engine is restarted; it starts to rotate as soon as the vehicle moves.

IMPORTANT: The tractor must be stationary to engage ground drive PTO. If engagement is not possible, slowly drive the tractor forward to allow the gears to mesh.

Mechanical version: Pull PTO engagement lever (D) rearward to disengage PTO.

  1. Pull PTO engagement lever (A) rearward to disengage PTO.

  2. Move PTO mode selector lever forward to engage ground drive PTO.

  3. Use PTO speed selector lever to select PTO speed (see table).
