Ballast Limitations

Ballast is limited by either tire capacity or tractor capacity. Each tire has a recommended carrying capacity which should not be exceeded (see Section 65, Wheels, Tires and Treads).

If a greater traction is needed, a larger single tire should be considered.

In this case the selected tires should be amongst those approved and the front to rear tire combination for front wheel drive version should be such as to maintain the correct front wheel lead.

The maximum ballast weight allowed is:
— Maximum front ballast1:..............	400 kg (882 lb)
— Maximum rear ballast:..............	200 kg (441 lb)

IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances must axle and tire capacity be exceeded, see Weights in Section 150, Specifications.
