Service (Daily / Every 10, 250, 500 and 750 Hours)

Service procedure

Perform all tasks marked - In addition carry out the 10 hour service

Every 10 hours or daily

After the first 50 hours

Every 250 hours

Every 500 hours

Every 750 hours

Lights - Check that all lights (including headlights) are functioning properly

       

Fuel system - Drain water and sediment from fuel filter

       

Engine - Remove any dirt from area surrounding the engine

       

Engine - Check oil level

       

Engine - Clean crankcase vent tube

       

Cooling system/air-conditioning system - Clean the radiator and condenser, fins and screens

       

Cooling system - Check coolant level

       

Transmission and hydraulic system - Check the oil level

       

Air cleaner - Clean the dust unloading valve

       

Three-point hitch - Lubricate lift links and rockshaft (only when operating in extremely wet and muddy conditions)

       

Trailer hitch - Lubricate all grease fittings (only when operating in extremely wet and muddy conditions)

       

Front-wheel drive axle - Lubricate pivot pin and king pins (only when operating in extremely wet and muddy conditions)

       

Front-wheel drive axle - Lubricate wheel bearings (only when operating in extremely wet and muddy conditions)

       

Front-wheel drive axle - Lubricate all universal joints including u.j. shaft from transmission to front-wheel drive axle (only when operating in extremely wet and muddy conditions)

       

Rear axle - Lubricate bearings (only when operating in extremely wet and muddy conditions)

       
           

Front PTO - Change oil and replace oil filter

 

 

 

Transmission - Replace transmission oil filter, check oil level

 

Engine - Change engine oil

     

 

Engine - Change engine oil filter

 

 

 

Fuel system - Replace fuel strainer

 

 

 
           

Front PTO - Check oil level

   

Clutch and Pto clutch - Check free play

   

Brake system - Check oil level

   

Brake system - Check free play of park brake and foot brakes

   

Drawbar - Check torque on attaching screws

   

Height-adjustable trailer hitch - Check torque on attaching screws

   

Trailer hitch - Check torque on attaching screws

   

Steering system - Lubricate tie rod ends

   

Front loader - Mounting frame, check torque on attaching screws

   

Wheels - Check torque of wheel and rim bolts

   

Trailer hitch - Lubricate all grease fittings

   

Front-wheel drive axle - Lubricate pivot pin and king pins

   

Front-wheel drive axle - Lubricate wheel bearings

   

Front-wheel drive axle - Lubricate all universal joints including u.j. shaft from transmission to front-wheel drive axle

   

Front-wheel drive axle - Check oil level in axle housing and final drive housings

   

Rear axle - Lubricate bearings

   

Check neutral start circuit

   

Alternator drive belt - Check for wear and damages, check belt tension

   

           

Fuel system - Replace fuel filter and bleed fuel system

     

 

Fuel system - Drain residue from fuel tank

     

 

Three-point hitch - Lubricate lift links and rockshaft

     

 

Air intake hoses - Check connections for leaks

     

 

Components of drawbar, and trailer hitches - Check all components for wear; check all components function properly

     

 
           

Check engine speeds, have speeds adjusted by your John Deere Dealer

       

Front axle pivot pins - Let the John Deere dealer check the end play

       

Cab and ROPS - Check torque of mounting bolts and nuts
