TIA - Tractor-Implement Automation, Safety
Tractor-Implement Automation (TIA) is a system for
automating control of the implement.
CAUTION: The operator of the tractor is responsible for the
safe operation of the Tractor-Implement Automation (TIA).
CAUTION: Although the phrases transfer control and withdraw control are terms commonly
used with TIA equipment, at NO time is implement
in total control of an operation. The operator ALWAYS has the ability to override TIA implement. It is the
operator's responsibility to make sure implement operation does not
damage equipment, or pose danger of injury or death to operator or
others close by. Tractor-Implement Automation must not
be put in operation when driving on public roads or when other persons
are close by.
On tractors with ISOBUS capability, TIA-compatible implements
approved by John Deere can request and control certain tractor functions.
