The tractor electrical circuits are monitored by a number of different control units. While the tractor is in operation, these control units record data and diagnostic trouble codes that can subsequently be read out by the dealer.

All events that are important for the operator are displayed on the CommandCenter™ as information for the user.

In addition, functional faults are indicated on the instrument panel by the blue INFO light, the yellow CAUTION light and the red STOP light.

Unless the displayed message is self-explanatory (e.g. transmission oil pressure too low, check oil level), you should get in touch with your John Deere dealer and discuss with him how best to proceed.

NOTE: Many diagnostic trouble codes are caused by data/communication faults and circuit malfunctions. In some cases the relevant system function can be restored by restarting the tractor. When diagnostic trouble codes appear which are not explained in this Operator's Manual, proceed as folllows: Shut off the engine, wait a short time and then restart the engine. If the diagnostic trouble code reappears, see your John Deere dealer.
