Stopping Procedure

1. Machine should be parked on level ground with the felling head positioned on the ground.

NOTE: In winter conditions, position head tilted and resting on the ground. This will prevent saw blade from freezing to the ground.

2. Move the throttle lever to IDLE position.

3. Allow the engine to operate at idle position for 3 minutes. This allows the heat of a full load operation to be dissipated gradually, allows turbo speed to reduce, prevents loss of coolant by after-boil and possible hot spot damage to engine.

IMPORTANT: Do not race engine before shut-off.

4. Move the swing brake to ON position.

5. Turn the ignition key switch OFF to stop the engine.

6. Turn the battery disconnect switch OFF, if the machine is to be parked for more than a one hour.
