Prepare Machine for Maintenance

Before performing maintenance procedures given in the following chapters and before leaving the operators seat, park the machine as described below unless another position is specified in the procedure.

1. Machine should be parked on level ground with the felling head positioned resting on the ground.

2. Move the throttle lever to IDLE position.

3. Allow the engine to operate at idle position for 3 minutes before shut down.

IMPORTANT: Do not race engine before shut down.

4. Move the swing brake to ON (1) position.

5. Turn the ignition key switch OFF.

6. Turn the battery disconnect switch OFF if the machine is to be parked for more than a few hours.

7. Disable the pilot hydraulics by either raising the armrest and/or turning the pilot reset switch to the OFF position.
