Check Battery Electrolyte Level

causym CAUTION: Lead-acid batteries contain sulfuric acid which can severely damage your eyes or skin on contact. Always wear a safety face shield, rubber gloves, and protective clothing to prevent accidents.

Lead-acid batteries produce flammable and explosive gasses. Keep arcs, sparks, open flames, and lighted tobacco a safe distance away from the batteries.

1. Swing open engine compartment panel.

2. Remove the retaining bolt and swing the battery box fully open.

3. Lift the rubber cover up and pry open the cell covers.

4. Top up the battery with distilled water as required.

5. Clean battery posts and cables as required.
