Change Fuel/Water Separator Filter

1. Shut the fuel supply off at the fuel tank shut-off valve.

2. Clean the filter head.

3. Drain the fuel into a suitable container.

4. Remove the filter assembly from the filter head.

5. Remove the sediment bowl from the filter. Clean the bowl. Install a new filter.

6. Clean the gasket surface of the filter head. Close the drain plug on the sediment bowl.

Fill the new filter assembly with clean fuel. See Section 3-1 for recommended diesel fuel.

7. Install the filter assembly on the filter head.

8. Open the bleed screw on the filter head. Open the fuel shut-off valve at the fuel tank.

9. Close the bleed screw when fuel free of air flows from the bleed screw.
