Change Engine Fuel Filters

Change the fuel filters using the following procedure:

1. Clean the area around the filter heads.

2. Remove the filters.

3. Clean the gasket surface of the filter head

4. Fill new filters with clean fuel. See Section 3-1 for recommended diesel fuel.

5. Install the new filters on the filter head.

6. Bleed the fuel lines after changing the filters, using the following procedure:

a. Loosen the bleed screws.

b. Using the starting system, crank the engine over until fuel free of air runs out around the bleed screws.

c. Tighten the bleed screws.
