Replace Hydraulic Oil Return Filters
IMPORTANT:
Cleanliness procedures must be observed when working on any hydraulic component in order to prevent contamination of the hydraulic systems.
Failure to follow these procedures may lead to equipment damage.
1.
Press breather button in to release the air pressure.
2.
Loosen JIC cap.
3.
Remove the drain hose plug and drain filter cavity into a suitable container.

4.
Remove JIC cap while draining the filter cavity.
5.
Reinstall the drain hose plug.
6.
Remove the filter cover, o-ring, filter retainer plate, bypass valves and the filter elements. Inspect the filters.
7.
Install new filter elements, and re-install bypass valves, retainer plate, o-ring and filter cover in reverse order of removal.
8.
Replace JIC cap on the fitting. Do not tighten; leave loose one turn.
9.
Start the engine and idle until air bleeds out of JIC cap. Tighten the cap and shut off the engine.
10.
Add oil to proper level using the hand pump. See Section 3-1 for recommended hydraulic oil.
