Detaching from Tractor

causym CAUTION: To prevent injury to bystanders, do not allow persons to remain in the vicinity when detaching the machine.

1. Park mower-conditioner on a level surface, or block mower-conditioner wheels so machine cannot roll after detaching from the tractor.

2. Lower platform.

3. Make sure tractor load/depth control is in position (A) (depth control position).

causym CAUTION: If equipped, push tractor SCV lever lockouts to the right (transport lock) before detaching implements to prevent implement movement and possible personal injury.

causym CAUTION: To prevent possible injury, use ONLY hitch control lever (A) when detaching implements. DO NOT use raise/lower switch (B).

4. Slowly pull hitch control lever (A) to raise mower-conditioner hitch. Check for interference.

Engage tractor parking brake, place transmission in "Park", disengage PTO, shut off tractor engine and remove key.

5. Install jackstand and secure it.

6. Disconnect road light plug and hydraulic hoses, install protective caps on couplers.

Store wiring harness and hydraulic hoses, avoiding contact with the ground to keep them clean.

7. Detach tongue height resume chain from the tractor, if equipped.

8. Remove safety chain, if equipped.

9. Raise tractor PTO shield (B), if equipped.

10. Support driveline (C) and pull back on collar (A). Slide driveline off tractor shaft.

11. Lower tractor PTO shield.

12. Start tractor and slowly push hitch control lever to lower mower-conditioner hitch to the ground.

13. Engage tractor parking brake, place transmission in "Park", shut off tractor engine and remove key.

Slide draft links away off hitch pins.

14. Carefully drive tractor away.
