PTO Speed
Under no circumstances should a mower-conditioner equipped for 1000 rpm PTO drive be operated with a tractor at 540 or 750 rpm PTO speed. IMPORTANT: Always run tractor at rated PTO speed. Operating otherwise will cause damage to drive system. Attach the mower-conditioner to any tractor with a power take-off 1-3/8 in. shaft size, conforming to ISO standards and with a 540 or 1000 rpm power take-off speed to match the mower-conditioner's powershaft speed. Refer to operator's manual of tractor to set PTO speed. Verify which driveline is connected by shining a light inside PTO shield at the gearbox. 540 rpm PTO driveline will have a large round slip clutch (A) inside shield. |
