Every 250 Hours or Yearly - Draining and Refilling Cutterbar
IMPORTANT:
Change oil in the cutterbar after the first 50 hours and then every 250 hours or yearly, whichever comes first.
Draining Cutterbar
1.
Drain oil while it is hot (i.e. after operation).
2.
Raise machine using tractor hydraulics, apply handbrake, place transmission in park, shut off tractor engine and remove key.
3.
Engage cylinder lift stops on both sides.
4.
Place a piece of wood under left-hand end of cutterbar.
5.
Disengage cylinder lift stop on left-hand side only.
6.
Lower machine onto wooden block.
7.
Put a container of about 15 L (4 U.S. gal) under cutterbar left-hand check plug (A).
8.
Remove right-hand check plug (C).
9.
Remove left-hand check plug (A) to drain oil.
10.
Apply sealant on threads of check plugs.
11.
Reinstall check plugs (A) and (C) after oil has been drained and tighten to specified torque.

Remove wooden block.
15.
Disengage cylinder lift stops on both sides.
