Every 50 Hours - Checking Cutterbar Oil Level

IMPORTANT: Too much oil in cutterbar will cause overheating and machine damage.

Use check plug (A) at BOTH ENDS of cutterbar to check oil level.

1. Park mower-conditioner on level ground.

2. Raise mower-conditioner and engage cylinder locks.

3. Put the platform in horizontal position (level) by using a jack under the low end. Give oil time to equalize.

4. Clean area around refill plug and remove refill plug (B).

5. Loosen plugs (A) to check oil level.

Observations Oil Level
Oil runs out of both plugs. Correct
Oil runs full stream out of both plugs. Too high
No oil drips out of either plug. Too low
Oil runs out of one plug and not the other. Put the platform in horizontal position and recheck

NOTE: Approximate cutterbar oil capacity is:

  • 530 Mower-Conditioner: 7 L (1.85 U.S. gal)

  • 535 Mower-Conditioner: 8 L (2.11 U.S. gal)
