Every 50 Hours - Checking Cutterbar Oil Level
IMPORTANT:
Too much oil in cutterbar will cause overheating and machine damage.
Use check plug (A) at
BOTH ENDS
of cutterbar to check oil level.
1.
Park mower-conditioner on level ground.
2.
Raise mower-conditioner and engage cylinder locks.
3.
Put the platform in horizontal position (level) by using a jack under the low end. Give oil time to equalize.
4.
Clean area around refill plug and remove refill plug (B).
5.
Loosen plugs (A) to check oil level.

| Oil runs out of both plugs. |

| No oil drips out of either plug. |

| Oil runs out of one plug and not the other. |
Put the platform in horizontal position and recheck |
NOTE:
Approximate cutterbar oil capacity is:
525 Mower-Conditioner: 5.7 L (1.50 U.S. gal)
530 Mower-Conditioner: 7 L (1.85 U.S. gal)
535 Mower-Conditioner: 8 L (2.11 U.S. gal)
7.
Add oil as necessary (see "Every 250 Hours or Yearly - Draining and Refilling Cutterbar" in this Section).
8.
Retighten check plugs (A) and refill plug (B) to specification.
