Counterknife angle must contact knife within 100 mm (3.93 in.) of each end (A).
Counterknife (C) should be sitting against beveled edge of knife (D), NOT on knife's sharp edge.
Measure distance from counter knife edge (A), where it makes contact with bevel (D) on the stationary knife. Distance (B) should be 6-16 mm (0.236-0.63 in.). This distance must be the same on each end of knife.

9.
On left side of baler, look at knife and counterknife. If an inward bow (A) is present, an adjustment will be needed.
CAUTION:
Knife is sharp. Use care when working around the knife.
10.
To obtain proper contact between knife and counterknife, first adjust counterknife to both ends as described in previous steps, then follow procedure below.
-
Raise counterknife to highest position using monitor-as was done for earlier steps.
-
Remove four nuts and remove brush (if not done previously).
-
Loosen four nuts that hold knife to mounting bracket.
-
Near center of knife, use hand pressure under knife bottom and pull knife rearward, until knife is bowed to rear approximately 2 mm (0.079 in.).
IMPORTANT:
It is important to maintain straightness of knife to get good net cutoff. Hold knife in a slightly bowed position while tightening nuts. Once bolts are tight, knife will remain straight. If knife is not held straight while tightening, it may return to it's original shape.
-
Tighten nuts (C) while holding knife in bowed position.
-
Recheck knife with straight edge and look down knife from the side of baler. Knife should be straight (D) or bowed rearward slightly at center.
-
Lower counterknife against knife bevel. Knife should contact at both ends and center.
