Prestarting Checklist

CAUTION: To avoid bodily injury, disengage PTO and shut off tractor engine before starting prechecks.

Inspect and service machine before starting work each day:

□  Check and adjust main and conditioner drive belt tensions. (See procedures in Service section.)

□  Check disk wear. (See procedure in Service section.)

□  Check knives; reverse, or replace if knives are blunt. (See CHECKING KNIFE WEAR in Service section.)

□  Check that knives are correctly positioned.

□  Check that knives rotate freely.

□  Check for any loose bolts and missing hardware.

□  Check platform lift movements.

□  Check tire inflation pressure and torque on wheel nuts. (See procedures in this section.)
