Installing Hitch Adapter (Drawbar Hitch)

  1. Remove adapter from front of mower-conditioner hitch.

  2. Slide adapter (A) onto tractor drawbar.

  3. Install large shim plate (D) with countersunk hole facing up.

  4. Insert as many small shims as possible between tractor drawbar and shim plate. (seven small shims provided)

  5. Remove adapter, plate and shims from drawbar.

  6. Fasten shims and plate to inside bottom of adapter (large shim plate on top, countersunk hole facing up) with one 3/8 x 1-1/2 in. plow bolt and 3/8 in. nut provided. Install nut on bottom side of adapter.

  7. Insert 29 x 36 x 40 mm (1.142 x 1.417 x 1.575 in.) spacer (if necessary) into hitch pin hole in drawbar and slide adapter assembly onto drawbar.

  8. Insert hitch pin (E).

  9. Tighten adjusting bolts (B) evenly, on both sides of hitch. Tighten flange nuts (C) against adapter.
