Setting Hydraulic Outlets

NOTE: Refer to your tractor operator's manual for:

• Recommended single acting cylinder outlet (Mower-Conditioner lift circuit)
• Adjusting rate of cylinder operation (Flow control setting)
• Adjusting SCV lever detent

The tractor must have two remote hydraulic circuits and a minimum of 15513 kPa (155.1 bar) (2250 psi) hydraulic flow pressure for platform lift circuit.

Set the flow for the tractor hydraulic remote outlet to give a tongue swing time of 6 to 8 seconds for tongue to swing from one side to the other. If swing speed is more than 8 seconds, see Troubleshooting section.

Adjust SCV lever detent:

• 7000 Series John Deere tractors, adjust SCV lever for no detent, so lever returns to neutral when released.
• 8000 Series John Deere tractors, set detent time at 0.
