Removing Disks

  1. Raise front platform doors to access cutterbar.

  2. CAUTION: Knives have two cutting edges. Be careful when working around the knives. Knives are sharp and can cause serious injury. Wear gloves when handling knives.

    To avoid serious injury, rotate both knives on all disks, so they are positioned UNDER the disks.



  3. Put a piece of wood between either end disk and outer sidesheet.

  4. NOTE: If removing left-hand end disk, refer to REPLACING LEFT-HAND END DISK DRIVER in this section. If removing right-hand end disk, refer to REPLACING RIGHT-HAND END DISK DRIVER in this section.

    Disks next to both left and right-hand end disks are equipped with short converging drums (B). The following procedures apply to all disks.

    A - Cap Screw (4 used)

    B - Short Converging Drum

    Remove four cap screws (A).



  5. Remove short converging drum (B) (if equipped) and disk from cutterbar.
