Adjust rear tractor wheels to provide an inside dimension according to specifications. Do not exceed outside dimension limitations to prevent machine damage.
Tire-to-Tire Inside Dimension |
Four Foot Wide Baler |
1372-1524 mm (54-60 in.) Outside dimension not to exceed 2591 mm (102 in.) |
Five Foot Wide Baler |
1676-1829 mm (66-72 in.) Outside dimension not to exceed 2743 mm (108 in.) |
IMPORTANT:
Do not make extremely short turns or cause the baler to jackknife while backing, as damage may occur to the PTO driveline, tractor tires, baler frame, and gathering wheels.
If gathering wheels are installed, the outside dimension of the rear wheels must not exceed:
-
468 and 468S; 2286 mm (90 in.)
-
568; 2388 mm (94 in.)
NOTE:
If tread setting is too narrow, operator will not be able to make properly shaped bales without driving on windrow. This may result in bales with soft ends and loose twine. (See INTERPRETING BALE SHAPE BARS and WEAVING IN THE WINDROW in Operating the Baler section.)
