The following checklist is a reminder of very important information which should be conveyed to the customer at the time the baler is delivered. Check off each item as it is fully explained to the customer.
[ ] John Deere warranty.
[ ] Safe and correct operation and service.
[ ] Daily and periodic inspections.
[ ] Servicing machine regularly and correctly.
[ ] Explain proper bale handling procedures.
[ ] Advise to use safety chain.
[ ] Advise use of baler fire extinguisher.
[ ] Explain correct ASAE standard dimensions for PTO hookup.
[ ] Give the Operator's manual to the customer and encourage customer to read entire manual.
[ ] Advise customer of safety precautions that must be observed while using this baler.
[ ] Advise the customer never to discharge bales on sloping ground and if moving bales with a tractor loader, the loader MUST have a grapple.
[ ] Advise the customer to set front and rear wheels out on tractors having adjustable tread width to avoid driving over hay. (See Preparing the Tractor section.)

[ ] Review all adjustments. (See Service sections.)
[ ] Recommended machine storage. (See Storage section.)
[ ] Have customer record machine serial number in the Specifications section.
