Routing Twine-Right-Hand Side (Rear Arm)

NOTE: Detailed threading diagrams are located on inside of twine compartment door and right-hand side of tongue.

1. Pull twine from rear-most twine ball through guides (A).

2. Pull twine from front-most twine ball through guide (B).

3. Insert twine between tension plates (C) and (D) and pull out through front side.

4. When using plastic twine and small sisal twine, wrap twine a FULL turn around twine moving indicator (A). Twine should wrap behind strand which comes down from twine box. Check that indicator (A) is free to spin.

NOTE: Wrapping large sisal twine a full turn around the indicator may cause the twine to cling to itself and break or cause excessive twine tension.

5. Large Sisal Twine: Route twine around indicators (A) and (B) as shown, without making a full turn.

6. Route twine from indicator (A) through guides (C) and (D).

7. Route twine from indicator (B) through guides (C) and (E).

causym CAUTION: Twine arms can move unexpectedly. Keep hands out of twine arm path to avoid crushing. Turn off power BEFORE adjusting twine arms or twine cutter mechanism.

Stay out of the path of twine arms at all times when power to twine arms is ON.

8. Remove spring pin (B).

9. Lift twine arm stop (A) and move front twine arm away from rear twine arm.

10. Route twine behind arm pivot (A), through guide (B), under "tab" (C) and through guide (D).

NOTE: Remove any crop buildup from tension plates before threading twine.

11. Route twine under guide pin (A), over top of tension plate (B) and under guide pin (C). Pull on twine to get twine between plates.

12. Pull twine through twine tube (A). Pull on twine to remove slack between guides. Twine pull should be within specifications with twine perpendicular to the twine arm. To adjust twine tension, refer to ADJUSTING TWINE TENSION in Operating the Baler section.

Specification

Twine Tension -Pull (Force) 22-45 N (5-10 lb force)

13. Cut twine 305-381 mm (12-15 in.) beyond end of twine tube (A).

14. Lift twine arm stop and move front twine arm toward rear twine arm. Install spring pin, removed in earlier step, in one of the four positions for desired twine spacing.

15. Adjust twine spacing.

16. Route twine for front arm.
