Operating Baler With Bale Ramp (If Equipped)

causym CAUTION: To prevent injury or damage from a rolling bale, discharge bales on level ground or in such a manner that the bale will not roll.

Optional bale ramp allows the bale to roll away from the baler, minimizing the need to stop and reverse the tractor to eject the bale on level or moderately rolling terrain.

1. Form and wrap bale as usual.

2. Raise gate to eject bale. Hold tractor hydraulic lever until gate is fully raised. Do not stop gate while raising.

As gate is raising, hydraulic oil from tensioning valve is diverted through an add-on regulator valve to a hydraulic cylinder attached to bale ramp. Bale ramp tilts just before gate is fully open, causing the bale to roll away from the baler. Regulator valve is adjustable to set gate-to-bale ramp timing. (See ADJUSTING BALE RAMP [IF EQUIPPED] in this section.)

3. Push forward on tractor SCV lever to tilt bale ramp (to horizontal position) and close baler gate.

4. After gate is completely closed, continue baling operation.
