Adjusting Tractor Hydraulic Outlets
The tractor must have a minimum of one double-acting selective control valves (SCVs).
If baler is equipped with optional hydraulic pickup lift, the tractor must have an additional SCV
(two hydraulic circuits total).
NOTE:
Adjust hydraulic flow with a bale in chamber, and hot oil.
NOTE:
Check times with no bale in chamber and hot oil.
Adjust tractor hydraulic remote outlets to provide approximately 5 second gate opening time.
For 5000/5010 Series John Deere tractors, joystick control lever detent is in the full forward position. Do not push lever full forward, so lever returns to neutral when released.
For 6000 and 7000/7010 Series John Deere tractors, adjust SCV lever for no detent, so lever returns to neutral when released.
For 8000 Series John Deere tractors, set detent time at 0. (See Hydraulics and Selective Control Valves section in tractor operator's manual.)
