Predelivery

After the baler has been set up, make sure that it is in good running condition before delivering to the customer. The following checklist is a reminder of important points to inspect. Check off each item after it is found satisfactory or after the correct adjustment is made.

□ Baler has been assembled correctly.

□ Check all hydraulic hoses and connections for oil leaks.

□ Check monitor-controller. Make sure that communication signal is received when monitor is turned on.

□ Check function of oversize bale alarm. (See TESTING GATE LATCH AND OVERSIZE BALE SWITCHES in Service—Baler section.)

□ Lower pickup and cycle twine arms or net wrap actuator (if equipped) to check for proper function.

□ Gate opens and closes freely and latches are adjusted correctly.

□ Gate lock valve functions correctly.

□ Belt tracking is satisfactory.

□ Machine lubricated and gear case level checked. (See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE section.)

□ Drive chains have been adjusted correctly and lubricated.

□ Warning lights are operating correctly.

□ Check that shipping cover on SMV sign has been removed and sign is properly displayed.

□ Decals intact and legible.

□ Tire pressure checked.

□ Check operating functions of any optional equipment installed.

□ If equipped, make sure that fire extinguisher is filled and pressurized.

□ Washer baler to remove road salt and dirt. Avoid washing chains, bearings, and electrical components.
