Operation of Pickup Slip Clutch (MegaWide™ Plus
Pickup)
IMPORTANT: The following procedure is not used on a 459 and
559 Baler with a Regular pickup.
When the pickup is plugged with too much crop or a foreign object,
the pickup clutch will slip. The purpose of the slip clutch is to
prevent damage to baler pickup.
-
Slip clutch will only reengage if the PTO is stopped or tractor
rpm is reduced to idle speed.
-
Disengage PTO, shut off tractor, and remove key. Remove crop
or foreign object.
