Unplug Baler Under Power

A - Locked Position
B - Upper Arm
Shut off tractor.
-
Place gate lock valve in locked position (A).
-
Raise belt tension arm with tractor selector valve until upper
arm (B) starts to move.

Engage PTO.
-
IMPORTANT: If belts slip, lower belt tension arm. Do not prolong
belt slippage as damage can occur to the baler.
If belts slip, lower belt tension arm.
-
If baler clears, unlock gate lock valve and continue baling.
-
If baler does not clear, unlock gate, discharge bale, and shut
off tractor.
-
With gate open, put gate lock valve in locked position (A).
-
Lower pickup and unplug manually.
-
Raise pickup to operating height.
-
Unlock gate lock valve, lower gate, and continue baling.

A - Variable Core Option
If baler is equipped with variable (soft) core option (A),
unplugging can be done from the tractor station following these steps:

NOTE: Maximum variable core diameter setting is 4 in. below
preset bale size. If necessary, preset bale size can be increased
to set variable core diameter above displayed size. If displayed size
is greater than 170 mm (67 in.), see UNPLUG BALER UNDER POWER in this
section.
Set variable core diameter at least 8 cm (3 in.) above displayed
bale size.

Engage variable core valve (A).

Engage PTO slowly to unplug.

If baler does not clear, discharge bale and shut off tractor.

With gate open, put gate lock valve in locked position.
-
Lower pickup and unplug manually.
-
Raise pickup to operating height.
-
Reset variable core and bale diameter to setting prior to plugging
and continue baling.
