Avoid injury from entanglement in moving rolls. Disengage PTO, shut off tractor engine, and disconnect monitor-controller power plug from tractor convenience outlet before servicing.

NOTE: Edge-to-edge net wrap is available, but requires spacer plugs in end of roll and adjustments made to net wrap attachment. (See ADJUST NET WRAP STRETCH in Service Section.)

    D - Steel Roll

E - Distance, 1/2 to 1 in. Net Wrap Extension

Net wrap must have two large stripes toward the right-hand side of machine. Thread net wrap (A), as illustrated, around net wrap roll (B) and rubber roll (C).

  6. Extend net wrap (A) no more than 1/2—1 in. (E) between rubber roll (C) and steel roll (D).

NOTE: Maximum length is one inch, any longer can cause wrapping.

    A - Lever

    B - Brake Pad

Pull lever (A) out and back to disengage roller brake pad (B).

  8. IMPORTANT: Do not thread more than 25 mm (1 in.) of loop between the two rolls or it can cause material to wrap around the rolls.

IMPORTANT: Avoid knife contact with rubber roll. Any knife cuts in rubber roll covering can result in more frequent wrapping around rolls and can require roll replacement.

NOTE: If net wrap is not being pulled off front face of roll, net roll has been installed backwards. (See Step 1 for correct installation.)

    A - Lever

    B - Net Wrap

Gather the loose ends of net wrap together. Twist material (B) and make a loop. Thread the loop between rolls. Reengaging the brake lever (A) will turn rubber roll and start net wrap between two rolls. Engage and disengage brake lever about three times to advance net through feed roll.

Pull lever (A) out and push forward toward front of machine. Make sure brake pad (B) contacts belt pulley.

  10. Cut excess material off.

  11. Close net wrap cover.

  12. To avoid net wrapping rubber roll, release brake lever and reset brake before using the baler at the beginning of each day.

  13. Adjust net wrap feed roll brake tension. (See CHECK AND ADJUST NET WRAP FEED ROLL BRAKE in Service—Net wrap section.)
