NOTE: See illustration for location of long and short belts.
Install belts with diamond portion of the belt to the outside. Make
sure that belts are installed through the individual guides.
See Specification section for proper length of belts.

Open gate fully. Lock gate.

Using tractor hydraulics, lower tension arm to tighten belts.

Engage PTO and rotate belts until splice appears between bottom
gate roll and tension arm roll.

Raise tension arm to loosen belts.

If optional auxiliary take-up roll is installed, unlock gate
and lower gate slowly until belts are slack. Lock gate.

Shut off tractor engine and remove key.

Remove splicing pin. Hook trimmed end of new belt to square
end of old belt with splicing pin. Pull new belt through baler using
the old belt.
Thread belts so when viewed in the direction of travel (see
illustration), the square cornered end of belt leads the end with
trimmed corners.

Fasten belt ends together with new pin. Make sure that belt
sides are correctly aligned when installing pins. Do not deform ends
of lacing pins during installation. Laces are slightly offset to allow
alignment of belt ends.

Repeat Steps 2—7 for other belts.

Unlock and close gate.
