Move baler to a dry place. If baler must be stored outside,
belt life can be prolonged by covering or removing belts to protect
from sunlight and ozone exposure.

Remove twine from twine boxes. Store twine inside during storage
season.
If net wrap is installed, remove roll of net wrap material and
store in a cool, dry place.

Clean baler thoroughly inside and out. Trash and dirt will draw
moisture and cause rust.

Apply a few drops of oil to all pivot points and linkages.

Thoroughly lubricate baler. (See Lubrication and Maintenance
section.)

Apply a thin layer of grease to threads of all adjustment bolts.

If equipped with push bar, apply a thin layer of grease to exposed
rods of push bar shock absorbers.

Paint all parts of net wrap from which paint has been worn.
Paint surfaces of mechanism, especially inside surfaces of net
wrap box and net pan. Do not get paint on rubber feed roll.

Coat chains with oil.

If equipped with fire extinguisher, follow manufacturers recommendation
for inspection and maintenance. If baler is subjected to cold weather,
drain or treat fire extinguisher fluid with a nonflammable antifreeze
solution to prevent damage.

Check all belt guides for wear especially wear channels at rear
of tension arm. (See TENSION ARM WEAR CHANNELS in Lubrication and
Maintenance section).

Order replacement parts as needed.
